Red Flags

I'm new to this whole escort thing. I'm tight on cash so I won't always be able to do this often so I want to make this count. My question is, what are some red flags and bad signs to watch out for and avoid when doing this?

I don't want to be one of those guys wh o either get arrested or get my money stolen if I choose to meet up with the chic. I did it one with one woman I saw on Backpage. She was only doing 50 roses which was pretty good. I called her and she directed me to the hotel room she was in. I arrived and noticed there were few people in there. I assumed she would be by herself.

It sounded like there was at least one other girl and there was another guy in there. I didn't like situation so I just left. Is that usually normal for there to be other people or it depends?

The best place to start are the reviews here and where ever you can find them. For the most part people share as much as they can about the girl., the date and anything else you want to know. Look for girls with multiple reviews if you have concerns. If you have questions about a review or a girl. talk to someone who has posted a few reviews via PM. I have found people pretty helpful if you have questions.

Personally, I have not been doing this long but I would have left, just like you. In the end, trust your judgment and walk away if you get a bad feeling. The girls will do the same thing to you if they have a bad feeling about you.

Frankly, I only look at Backpage for the pictures.

My MO when I'm hobbying is to only book time with ladies who are reviewed here (or at one or more of several other trusted sites), who have multiple reviews by guys whose judgment I trust, and who I believe (based on those reviews) will offer me the kind of session I'm looking for.

It's worked for me.

Seriously you did the right thing by leaving. I will not say all of what you find on BP is bad as many traveling ladies use it when touring. But yes you have to do your homework on anyone before you see them just like ladies have to verify gents. It may take some time and effort but you will be happy for your hard work.

If that's responsive to my comment "who have multiple reviews by guys whose judgment I trust"... No, you don't, owing to prior interaction we've had at the late, lamented STLASP. (Mind you, I'm only speaking for me; other guys might want to see more reviews of you.)

That comment would more aptly apply to, say, ladies here that I haven't interacted with, but whose ads or showcases I've seen here, if I stumbled across their BP ad while doing some "window shopping" there (it's happened, more than once).

Of course, more reviews certainly wouldn't hurt your chances of seeing me some day, if by chance you've gone off your meds and seriously harbor a desire to see me (my advice would be to go back on your meds so you stop manifesting that symptom of mental derangement).

Not just to establish basic safety, but to get a handle on what kind of session you'll be likely to have (subject to the basic "YMMV" rule). If I had a nickel for every review I've read that contained something to the effect of, "I was really hoping for <foo> and the first thing she said to me once the door closed was 'I don't do <foo>'", I wouldn't be worrying about spending my twilight years living in a cardboard box under the overpass, subsisting on cat food...

It dosent usually happen like that true...usually they try and up sale by asking do you want to play with there girl friend also then charge more..some girls do leave while not offering service once in awhile they stay that does make shhh uncomfortable indeed. There's good ones out here just do as bcg says and good hunting

I will offer a little advice, but the key word is research. Whether it be via this site, or other trusted sites such as TER, P411 etc. If you have no reviews to contribute yet (whether that be on this site or on TER) then consider purchasing vip or premium access so you can be privy to the details of various providers that you might be interested in.


USE GOOGLE! Googling a providers phone can turn up a lot of info., and help to find her reviews if available.

Also, do NOT be offended is a provider asks for screening information or references. By her doing that, she is ensuring her own safety as well as yours. I won't say that someone isn't reputable if they do not screen, as I know several whom I consider reputable that, in my opinion, don't screen enough. My point is, if someone asks for screening information, references or a discreet employment verification, be prepared to give the requested info and consider that to be a positive.

I'd agree with MostlyNormal. You have to do your homework. Start with looking for reviews. It might not be fair to a great provider just starting out, but then, there are a lot of providers who won't see a newbie for the same reason.

You will likely have to invest some money to save some money - i.e membership in a review site. I love ECCIE because you get a pretty good idea of what a provider is like from the publically available info. When looking at reviews:
1. How many reviews does she have? Is it the same guy? If there's only one review available, does the guy have multiple reviews, or does it happen to be his first. Don't be naive, providers will post their own reviews.
2. Is there a lot of variation in the scores? Granted, different guys will judge looks differently, so I expect it there, but does the performance vary widely? If so, the provider might be extremely YMMV or prone to "bad" days.

Without homework, just paging thru ads doesn't do you any good. I know when I lived in Atlanta and DC, there were quick rules of thumb I could develop for EROS (for example) by looking at the ad posting URL. Certain URLs were just "bad news" on EROS and you learned to avoid them. In fact, in DC it got so bad we joked it stood for Every Rip Off and Scam. As a rule, I avoided Backpage, though it's sort of like playing the slot machines...you lose a bunch of times, but the once you hit the jackpot, it keeps you coming back for more.

I'm much more constrained these days than I have been in the past, so I'm sticking to women listing on verification sites (P411, Date-Check) with lots of reviews.

In the end, it comes down to your gut, and you have to listen to your instincts. Every time I haven't, it's not been a very good decision.
