Default Can you rape a man? Federal definition of sex crimes

Hello,

I find this an interesting topic to discuss!

"
Male Rape Is Not a Myth

So who and what are included under the new definition? Men, for starters. The fact is there is an overwhelming silence around the idea of men as victims of sexual crimes, both in popular discourse and academic research. The adult rape of men is considered a myth by many. While women are disproportionately affected, the truth is an estimated 5-10% of rape cases are men, according to the National Center for Victims of CrimeCenters for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) states that nearly 1 in 71 men have been raped in their lifetime, 1 in 7 men experienced severe physical violence by an intimate partner, and 1 in 19 men have experienced stalking in their lifetime. . Some research shows that men are more likely to be victims of gang rape, and that physical injury is more likely to occur during the rape of a man versus that of a woman. The
Keep in mind that most rapes go unreported, and men may have even more reasons than women NOT to report sex crimes. Men who do report rape are often blamed harshly for failing to fight back or appearing scared. Men who are victims of female perpetrators are often completely discredited.
Oral and anal sex are also now included in the FBI definition, as well as penetration by “any body part or object,” “no matter how slight.” If you don’t think that oral sex is a form of rape, I recommend you pick up The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson. Research shows that men are more likely to be penetrated anally and/or orally than women during a sex crime.
So, the next time you hear the words ‘rape’ or ‘sex crimes,’ stop a second before making assumptions. This is the perfect time to start an open and honest conversation about sex crimes in our society, a conversation that includes both men and women, equally invested in stopping acts of sexual violence"

Why not? It's happened. An erection is merely a physical response to stimuli the same way a vagina getting wet is. Women who get wet during rape often feel guilty later, because their bodies were aroused by the act. It's pretty much the same thing.

If you're talking about you can't see how it would physically work? Date rape drug, bondage, riding if we're talking intercourse. Or date rape drug, bondage, anal rape with a foreign object. The second is probably more common as perhaps revenge but absolutely it's possible to rape a man.

It's not as rare as people would believe - but it's not reported. What guy wants to admit to police that he was emasculated by a woman?

@ Missy - You make a good point.
I don't doubt the possibility but it just seems more unlikely.

Absolutely yes, male sex crimes go unreported VERY often. A males penis getting hard is a natural reaction and will occur even if he is unwilling. I'm sure these instances are extremely rare though.

If you look at parents though, a vast number of people wouldn't think twice if their 15-16 year old son is banging the teachers aid. Now, reverse the genders and all of a sudden, it's statutory. The lines are quite blurred there from where I'm sitting.

I thought it was common knowledge about how frequent rape was in prison. Did any one see the interview of Mike Tyson when he got paroled? Even he was scared of the showers. As bad as he was he could be victimized by a well armed prison gang.

I think we're talking about female to male rape but yes, male to male rape also a very serious and unreported crime. Very sad when anyone is raped.

Missy, I noticed that all your examples started with a date rape drug. Without that, I don't buy into a high level of occurence of female to male rape. First of all, I don't think most women would be that interested and secondly, unless the man were a real wimp and not drugged or overpowered by a group, I just don't see it happening. I won't say never, just not something that is likely.
Now, male on male is another thing entirely.

Hell yeah women rape men, it happens more often than you think. Of course the biggest obstacle would be how to initally overpower the subject but after that it is very easy to have your way with them. Force feeding them ED meds, cock ring, binding the penis- there are lots of things you can do to make an unwilling penis erect.

The most recent news I know of is in Zimbabwe, a group of women raped over a dozen men and saved their semen. They are accused of being involved in witchcraft supposedly they need the semen for a ritual that will make people wealthy. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-15876968

My BF and I were playing around and I secures padded leather cuffs to his wrists and put them behind his back and gave him oral sex and slid him into me.
I didn't have his consent, he was gagged on panties, and blindfolded.
I have always wondered if I raped him.
He couldn't fight back or decline the sex act.
I just took what I wanted.
