He has signed an EO for federal govt employees and contractors. This won’t have a huge effect as there are not a lot of federal employees that make much less than that. Contractors might feel some pinch but not much because they are either employee replacement with wages set equal to full-time staff (above 15 already) or working for a bidded job where salaries and pay would all just reflect the 15 so no loss either way.

Agree. Also agree that most Fed employees already make more than 15 an hour.
The issue is both Fox and NBC are making it sound like it applies to all employees - Fed and NonFed. Agree that a separate "law" is needed. On CNBC they analysts were basically saying the $15 Fed would basically "encourage" private employers to $15.
