Default Water and Phones

together are not good.

Yesterday I spilled a bottle of water in my purse. Needless to say my phone was fried. I didn't back up the information in my phone and have lost all my contacts. There are a few people in this forum that I have enjoyed communicating with. If you are one of these people, would you please send me a PM with your phone number.
Thanks

This is Charles Tudor.

I don't have a phone but you can send mail to me c/o The YMCA where I take a room.

That's why I require an outcall as my bunkmate doesn't appreciate the noise and threatened to turn me in since we can't have guests.

But if you don't want to write or call I'll understand. I'll probably just dissapoint you anyways.

Thank goodness you didn't drop a land line phone in the bathtub!

Grrrr... That always sucks. You'd think that the cell phone companies could come up with a 5-second rule or something for phones dropped in water

lol That might be next. I haven't had good luck with water since I tubed down the river yesterday. Phone, rained in my car, toilet backed up and I slid on some water that I spilled in the kitchen. Let's hope I don't dream of drowning tonight.

the last half dozen phones or so I've had something wouldn't work and low & I was beholden to them for yet another two years...

Oh don't even get me started! I wasn't eligible for an upgrade. FYI they no longer make the 16 and 32 in the iphone 3, plus the store was out of the 8 iphone 3. Upgrade to iphone 4? Nope they are out of it too. I ended up buying at Best Buy.

Back when I was a lowly E-4, there used to be a 1 star that would call me into his office to either yell at me or ask my opinion (less often than the former). Before I would say anything, while I was waiting to speak, I would look slightly above his head and there was a sign that said kwitchurbelyakin. I thought long and hard before I complained. It was a good lesson.

I'm just sayin'.....

(PS - can't wait to see you this weekend!!!)

Now Sydney you know I can't always be perky, cheerful and happy go lucky. Sometimes I gotta whine. Back at ya.

You should know that the correct name is the "Y." We were notified by the staff just the other day and told we can no longer sing the theme song b/c it includes the "old name."

Yeah, and the rules regarding guests sucks. Only male guests allowed and we can't close the doors. Seems like college all over again. However, there are no bunks (you'll be glad to know). Just rooms with 2 single beds in each (subject, of course, to an additional cot if overcrowding occurs).

Regarding mail: I never get it here...too many prying eyes. General delivery at the USPS (still good for something) will do. Or email. I still have my public library card.

If paid with a credit card (Apple was very resistant to cash purchases until a consumer contacted the NY ABC station, and bingo you could buy a iPhone with cash), your card may offer protection or coverage for such a thing. Give 'em a call (don't ask if they use protection. )
