Default Hotel choices

Is there certain hotels that guys prefer to use? I use many different places, palace, scottish, and courtyard by marriot. I had a client this evening, who changed his mind about doing a session because of the hotel choices. I only pick certain locations because of the distance between it and the client. Is this a bad thing? This was a first, most of my clients are fine with it, and they are regular, repeat clients.

Sounds like he used it as a throw down excuse to cancel.

Nothing wrong with your choices.

If your hotel has doors accessed from outside...it's sketchy.

That's what in thinking, or maybe the whole idea of a hotel made him nervous. I'm just glad he threw the wrench in the plan before I paid for it (the room). But still disappointed about the wasted time. I just don't bring anyone to my home, I lay my head there. I'm not comfortable with that, but I get so many requests for it.

Every hotel has doors that can be accessed from the outside...not every hotel has guest ROOMS that can be accessed from the outside...

I actually prefer outside access since I feel it gives me a chance to look for questionable characters, unmarked cars, suspicious vans, waiting wreckers, etc. Going inside means walking past desk clerks and feeling that the door across could open to reveal people I don't really want to see, one way or the other. But that's me. It being a nice quality place is most important, and there are some nice places with outside access rooms.

no, if your "hotel" has door access from the outside, its a "Motel"

Motel is short for "Motor Hotel" - you could park in front of your room

Hotel's have a parking area.

Hi Mr. GPop!
I understand the difference between the two. I was asking if there is a preference. I figured my choice places were okay since there is no lobby, no elevator wait, you can rent for as long as you need it, etc... most importantly, there's one on every side of town, which means, I can make it convenient for my client to get to.

Hotel, motel, doesn't matter. I asked a specific question.

Because hotels have lobby entrances guests have to walk in past the front desk per say or maybe even say what room they are going to.

Some not so much.

I did a photo shoot at a hotel near Hobby Airport, all I did was text the model the room # and they just strolled right by the clerk

Motel's are easier to park near room

which is better? motel.. less eyes watching

As long as you're paying for it, any hotel is ok with me.

Any hotel I would not personally stay in - is definitely not a hotel I would fuck in.

If I can't afford to stay in a 3+ star hotel, I just wait until I can. I've had one really unsettling experience regarding cleanliness staying at a 2 star hotel before I started providing. Some girlfriends and I went on what was supposed to be a day trip to the beach that turned into an overnighter, and we had to book a last minute hotel room. I'd rather have camped on the beach and enjoyed the beautiful scenery than be cooped up inside some filthy room whilst having to guess exactly what the stains on the wall were..

As it relates to hobbying, the anxiety of all that possibly could go wrong with cheap, poorly rated hotels isn't worth the money I might save. And plus I've found that in some cosmopolitan cities, there are lots of really quaint 3 and 4 star hotels that can be booked ahead of time for well under 100/night.
