How Has The Hobby Changed?

Many on this board will not recognize me, but I am what was once considered one of the "Old Guard". I was around back in the ASPD days and transitioned over to this board. Back in the day, many of the guys on the board would get together for BOOBS and BEER at Hooters. I see WILEY64 is a board moderator now...he will remember. Threw back a few suds with him a time or two.

So, at some point and time...I cannot say exactly when...the Hobby started to get a little boring for me. Maybe it was the ladies available at the time, maybe I just started getting very busy professionally, maybe it was marriage of multiple reasons. Nevertheless, I did tend to check in and lurk from time to time...maybe see an occasional lady. But mainly, just lurk and read....

I started to notice changes from when I was active...some subtle, some not so subtle. Screening seemed to get a lot stricter. Over the years I occasionally reached out to a lady but my history on the board wasn't enough. Seemed that they wanted way more information than I was comfortable giving. Part of the "fun" of the hobby for me was anonymity.

I have noticed several other changes, but of course this perception is from an arm's length. I am curious if any of the ladies or the gentlemen can say they have noticed changes also.

If so, I think it would be interesting to hear how you have found the Hobby has changed and whether you think the changes are good ones or bad ones or whether they merit any consideration at all.

Hi--I have been around since aspd days...but was in texas most of that time

the main change I notice is that more & more younger gals are jumping on the bandwagon......offering a low rate.....usually starting from from BP...and when they get a review,they jump their price way high...then eventually they disappear or reinvent themselves as a new persona

I too am a long time throwback to the old aspd folks. YES I have watched the hobby evolve. The changing force in most cases being the economy. Lots of providers do not have the opportunity to bring in the dollars that were available in the past. Lots of ladies that are providing to make ends meet. To keep the kids in school or just to help hubby make the monthly bills. The cost is not a factor in these cases and most of these ladies work hard and charge what the market will bear. Some of the pro type ladies have now had to lower their prices and come up with some new marketing ideas to keep their earning level up. Much more product available now days. Quality is another story. There is quality and it can be found at all levels ...some more that others. CL has declined (and with good reason) in its place on the list of good places to hunt. BP can be fruitful and some quality can be found there....it requires the use of all your skills if you peruse BP. Goodl to hear from you.............Captain Blade.
