Sad day 40 years ago when the imfamous Chucken Ranch closed.
On this day in 1973, 40 years ago, the infamous Chicken Ranch in La Grange was closed after an exposé by Houston TV reporter Marvin Zindler, inspiring the Broadway hit, and Hollywood movie, “The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.” The photo below is of the Chicken Ranch at the time it closed, and comes from "The Chicken Ranch Project" website: http://www.jaymeblaschke.com/ChickenRanchProject.html

Well it wasn't his hair....Marvin's.....anyone remember when he was a HCSO....his family owned Zindler's Clothing Store.....where do all the Aggies go now to bust their cherries....what, they're no longer virgins when they get to College Station. Let's see...yep, Rick Perry may have been a customer. He graduated from AM in 72 and the Ranch didn't close until 73....

I was at a deer lease in Smithville with my father in the late 60's when some of the men got back and told their stories of the trip to La Grange. My dad checked to see if I was a sleep in the camper and I acted like I was still sleeping, therefore the stories continued. My dad about had a heart attack when we were driving home and I asked him what a blow job and anal was.
