Providers length of careers
In another thread somewhere, the topic on how long a provider can stay in this business (ie: the long haul) was brought up. Assuming a provider is good at what she does and enjoys her line of work (or is that just boilerplate advertising verbiage), I would love to hear from both providers and hobbyists what they think is the time to get out.
Obviously there are a lot of variables at play in the many different scenarios available.
Assuming no PT's involved. We ALL KNOW, PT's shorten their career rapidly or in some cases, extend it to a really miserable existence.
Is there too young an age to begin? (legal age assumed)
Is there too old an age?
Too many years?
Please feel free to let this discussion wander as necessary.

I know one UTR who has been at it for 20 some years.
She is as good today as she was when I first met her... in an entirely different way.
I think the UTR part of it is a huge reason why she has lasted as long as she has.
I have a couple of other UTR's that have been at it about half as long... and still enjoy bringing a smile to my face.
It seems the UTR part of it is part of the longevity.
There are a few on BP that have been around for ten plus years -- starting on CL or even AV!!
It pays to be nice to some girls.
It probably pays to be nice to ALL girls.

Could some kind soul provide an explanation of the term Under the Radar (UTR)? It is used quite frequently on this board, but I suspect it may have slightly different meanings with respect to different UTRs. Not looking for a dictionary definition. Perhaps a discussion of how this works with different providers, if the term "provider" is even appropriate. Perhaps this deserves a separate thread.

Always took UTR to mean she is a low volume provider only desiring to see a few select clients of her choosing. Also took it to mean she wants no publicity of what she does or who she sees. She wants to be a very private SP while being UTR.

I'd be interested to hear a different interpretation, if there is one. I think it's probably an over/misused term on the boards, like TOFTT. Example, the thread asking if there are UTR providers in Buffalo. .

Isn't the whole point of a girl being UTR is to keep her privacy? What kind of ass do you have to be to ask on a public board for a list of UTR girls names?
Some of the questions asked here boggle the mind......
elg.......

It's hard to determine a provider's career length because.... do they ever really retire?
I think it depends on the woman. All of them love the cash, some like the attention, some hate men to their core, others the stigma and the drama associated. How a woman views this profession coupled with their financial needs and goals with determine career legacy.
By my calculations, a woman "survives" this profession 1.7 years on average.

UTRs are reviewed here all the time. OF COURSE people will want to know who they are.
UTR:
Is it a woman who happened into escorting and doesn't quite know how to market herself but wants the reviews and or business?
Is it a coworker who is easily being persuaded and handed a few dollars afterward?
Is it a full fledged provider who wants no reviews?
Is it a lady that came in as an escort, secured a harem of hobbyists, then claimed she didn't want to be an escort but will still see "you"?
Etc etc etc
"Here's a review of my utr but I will not give out her info" seems bizarre to me. Perhaps the sole purpose of such reviews is for the account credit and access to the private area.
As for the main topic, Providers length of career
Men say to me "Aren't you getting out of the business sometime soon?"
I reply "Perhaps!"
They reply "OH, HEY, I just visited with you!! How will I get a reference/vouch? Do you plan to return? Can I see you UTR?"
;-)

There's no PA credit given for reviews without contact information, is there?

I have been in the hobby for about 6 years. I know a lot of of Ladies that have been in the hobby for 15+ years, one that has been for 28. A lot of ladies start later in life my old duo partner that I started duos with started in her late 30s. I just think personality and if you truly enjoy yourself play a huge roll. Not overdoing it and not being afraid to say no help you avoid burning out. If someone were to just see whoever wanted to see them they would have a really shitty time being a provider and a slanted view. I think the same thing goes for being high volume, you can't see 10 people a day and enjoy it.

The United Teachers of Richmond have a Unique Taxpayer Reference code that I didn't learn about on Ukrainian Television and Radio.
