...Which I find hilarious. I sit just a mile, maybe two, outside of downtown Topeka (about 2 miles east of Westridge Mall) and it was beautiful at the time of her post. Sun was out, roads were dry. Hmmmmm.

I know it is an odd concept to follow but KC and Topeka are in two completely different places and its not like they are "within two miles of each other".

Just sayin...

Damn, Ken . . . RTFP - IJS. The poster (bikebryan) was simply saying that he was/is in Topeka and he was giving information on his specific location within THAT city (Topeka), stating that there (in Topeka), the weather was fine when Grace posted and begged off (her driving to Topeka). In fact, aside from the chilly temperatures, it wasn't that bad a day at all (my drive to Topeka today was mostly in bright sunshine) . . . How you get to where you got in your reply is . . . well, you'd need to supply a map and a bottle of tequila so the rest of us can follow.

Read. The. Fucking. Post. I'm. Just. Sayin'.

If Grace heard the forecast and decided not to go, well - it is her business and her prerogative. The poster was simply saying that the weather was fine in Topeka when she used it as a reason to beg off. That's all.

And frankly, compared to most other larger metropolitan areas, Topeka is close enough really to be a suburb . . . a significant population makes the roughly 45 minute drive to and from work between the two cities everyday. There are suburbs of St. Louis further out (drive time wise) from the downtown core of that city than Topeka is from downtown KC.

I think you read bikebryan's post incorrectly.

I think my reading comprehension skills are working just fine Jackie. If you really want to get into it Topeka is roughly 65 miles away from KC. Oddly enough sometimes the weather is somewhat different from one location to the other, even more so depending on distance. Now the poster says he knows the exact weather at the exact time when Grace posted this comment, and he remembers it so well he was able to post with 100% accuracy of the time.
Now it was snowing mid/late morning and into the early afternoon if I am not mistaken , so while gentlemen in Topeka may have been correct, ever think someone 65 miles away might be seeing something different in the weather, enough for her to be concerned that driving could be an issues considering when it snows idiots are out in force?

Gosh.
I live in nkc and when I posted my car was covered in snow. I'll be the first to admit, I totally suck at driving, and dont like to take chances.
Its not like canceling my trip affected anyone... No appointments needed canceling, just a little note to let the gents know I wasn't making it.
Next time I'll make sure not to post.
Plus, I had to work.
Not bitching about the weather...i love the snow & rain.

Monk, the weather was fine - which was / is the point. I drove over today to grab a title on a truck I sold, needed to grab it from the Docking building, no snow and barley any rain.

But, WK Grace all you want . . . hell, self flagellate yourself into a bloody frenzy doing it, I don't give a shit.

Grace has a history of begging off last minute, and I've defended her when others didn't/wouldn't. If she glanced at the weather today and didn't want to go - fine (as I said) - it's her decision. It does appear on the face of it to be a little off considering that the weather didn't really materialize into quite what they thought it would be . . . although north of here it was snowing a bit this morning. So, if you're sitting in Topeka and it is sunny and dry, it might leave you to wonder . . . which he did, in his posting.

It wasn't like they were cancelling schools because of drifting snow - there wasn't any, was his (bikebryan's) point.

My issue wasn't with Grace begging off, I could care less.

So can I accuse you of WK the fellow above? Clearly he needs you to run to his defense. I also like how you took what I said and turned it into some crusade about the weather today.

Do I get to look forward to you net stalking me now and attempting to "out wit me" with every post I make?

Um. I dont need a wk from someone I dont even know.
The weather was crappy, I didn't want to drive, so I didn't.
Didn't realize when I posted that it would become a discussion about the weather.
I do have a history of changing plans, but hell, I have a job and a life outside the hobby.
BTW
It wasn't the Topeka weather that concerned me. It was driving to Topeka from nkc that bothered me.

No, Mr. Monk, I don't need to outwit you in every post you make, my dog outwits you in licking his balls every morning.

Grace, the weather sucked up north today and if you saw snow and heard the forecast, well, like I said, I get it - and I understand. But, to a guy sitting in Topeka with sunny and dry road conditions, I'm sure you can see how it may have been confusing (as weather typically moves from west to east [edited]).

Have a great night.
