I heard this on the radio the other day. I thought it was interesting and something the board may also be interested in. In a nut shell, it talks about monogamy - whether we are instinctively built that way or if it's something we conform to, also the difference and depth between sexual attraction and emotional connection and how 'affairs' (especially between co-workers) are more detrimental to marriages than one night stands and random hook-ups.

Of note, the author thinks prostitution should be legal.

No seriously, I think it's important to note the author is a man. While not all men would agree I believe most would - even if they'd never admit it to their SO/wife. Most men - again, not all, can view sex as nothing more than a physical act and can engage in a one-night stand or random hook up without forming an emotional attachment. The danger here is that the SO finds out because she is working with an entirely different set of rules. Affairs are a different situation because often the man does form an emotional attachment to the other person. In this case, the "love" affair replaces the marriage.

I guess the implication to the hobby is to don't see only one provider to ensure emotional entaglements are avoided. NSA needs to go both ways or its not NSA.

However, with a Teapublican in the White House they would be would sending out the National Guard to silence these sorts of ideas. Santorum wouldn't be legalizing prostitution while outlawing contraception - LMAO!
