It is very noticeable. I used to be surrounded by trucks. Yesterday I saw none. The ports with their decline of cargo coming in almost 60% or more is shocking.



All thanks to Trump. Truckers losing jobs, ports having layoffs. Hard working small business people with stores on
Amazon and eBay being crushed.

I migrate back and forth from Lake Charles to Houston, and it appears to me that there are more trucks than ever on the IH-10 corridor.

The sellers on Amazon and eBay have a very high percentage of Chinese goods they sell.....some maybe
70%. Many will have to close shop.

When we're in a full blown recession? Fact 1 dumbo misses, the exporting country does not pay the tariff, the importer does (and almost always) passes the cost on to the consumer. Fact 2, China can and will outlast the US in a trade war. Fact 3, assuming manufacturing did come back to America, the orange ass would be dead and gone (and in the books as the WORST president in history) before factories could be built or re-tooled...and it wouldn't be humans doing the manufacturing anyway. And no, in 5-10 years you won't need skilled American workers to maintain the robots. Robots will maintain the robots...so what then?


And finally, global trade isn't a spigot that you turn on and off. The old ass idiot has already fucked the economy for a lot of people for the rest of the year....
