Default Fall is in the air...

Woke up this morning to a rather crispness in the air! Went to Wegmans and got a few ingredients to make the first batch of Chili for the season. It is now cooking away slowly.

Now if only Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts would start making Pumpkin Spiced Lattes.... I would be in heaven.

I have to say it is nice to have a change of weather to something a little cooler. Cannot wait for fall to really kick off!! Hopefully you all are excited to see summer come to an end and fall kick it’s self-off. Let’s just hope winter doesn’t sneak up on us too quickly.

What are you all excited for with the cooler weather?

I am going through spice pumpkin latte's withdrawls!! I just wish they would start selling them!!!! I know you can get the flavored creamer, but it just isn't the same.

My house smells great... I cannot wait until dinner. I am gonna have chili coming out of my ass for a few weeks haha

mmm I think I might just have to have some of your famous chili then girl! I just started making my own last year and haven't perfected it yet. I am very "new" when it comes to cooking. 50% of the time its a great mean the other 50% I throw out and go to KFC and get my din-din LOL

My fall favorite: pot roast.

My secret chili ingredient (don't tell ANYONE): a couple of squares of semi-sweet baker's chocolate (don't knock it until you've tried it).

You know, only those of us who were born and raised in this latitude know what Brooke's talking about. The Southerners don't seem to have the appreciation for the cold, clear crispness of fall. The air is so refreshing this time of year.

Winter has its poetic beauty, too. Maybe you Rochesterians have too large a plateful of it to feel that way, but winter is truly one of the most beautiful times of the year.

I think I'd grow increasingly despondent, living in a part of the world that didn't have 4 distinctly different seasons.

I'm not its a garden. The trees where transplanted from the farm I was raised on as a lad. Before it become a housing track and expressway. And planted in my and uncles yard next door. Wish we grabbed some cherries, pairs, and plumb trees.
