TEXAS LEGISLATURE 2021
Sixth Texas Democrat in Washington, D.C., tests positive for COVID-19

State Rep. Donna Howard, D-Austin, has tested positive for the coronavirus, marking the sixth case among nearly 60 House Democrats who traveled to Washington, D.C., last week to prevent the passage of a GOP election bill at the Texas Legislature.

"Despite following CDC [Centers for Disease Control and Prevention] guidelines and being fully vaccinated, I tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday," Howard said in a statement Tuesday, noting that she was "basically asymptomatic except for some minor congestion."

Over the weekend, the Texas House Democratic Caucus said that five of its members had tested positive for the virus. The members who tested positive, including state Reps. Celia Israel, D-Austin, and Trey Martinez Fischer, D-San Antonio, have been fully vaccinated.

Everything they do backfires on them. Because they’re stupid, and crooks.

It's only a big deal to test positive after vaccination if you end up in the hospital afterwards. If that starts happening, then you can guess that the vaccines aren't really doing anything.

SM - you join 'a' and other posters who write about medical issues - with no background in Medicine.

The Immune system functions very differently from your post.

Supposedly the BBC reported that there were more people in England with COVID that HAD been vaccinate than had NOT been vaccinated.

Ok, this has been misreported. Here's the correction
https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknew...cid=uxbndlbing

""About 60% of hospitalisations from COVID are not from double-vaccinated people, rather 60% of hospitalisations from COVID are currently from unvaccinated people."

So slightly less people haven't been vaccinated. Still a huge story. We have been lied to the last year and a half.

I read that seven people of the Texas 50 have tested positive for COVID. They have all "been fully vaccinated." What does fully vaccinated mean? It means they've gotten both doses of the vaxxx and its been two weeks. So what's up?

COVID: the reason cases are rising among the double vaccinated – it’s not because vaccines aren’t working

Sir Patrick Vallance, the UK’s chief scientific adviser, has announced that 40% of people admitted to hospital with COVID in the UK have had two doses of a coronavirus vaccine. At first glance, this rings very serious alarm bells, but it shouldn’t. The vaccines are still working very well.

We also need to remember that the vaccine rollout in the UK has systematically targeted people at the highest risk from COVID. Older people and people with health conditions that make them more vulnerable were the first to get vaccinated. Once vaccinated, these people (including me) are at much lower risk from COVID than they would have been otherwise – but they are still at risk.

That means that when we compare people with both vaccinations being hospitalised to those who haven’t had both doses, we aren’t comparing like with like. People with both vaccinations are more likely to have been at greater risk from COVID in the first place. This makes them both more likely to be hospitalised and more likely to have already received both of their vaccine doses.

The latest data from Public Health England suggests that against the delta variant, which is now dominant in UK, two doses of any of the vaccines available in Britain are estimated to offer 79% protection against symptomatic COVID and 96% protection against hospitalisation.

So your recommendation is .....

.... errrrr ...................

.... look for some headline that agrees with your speculation?

I suppose we're left to speculate as to why the Bitten/Kumola "team" have elected NOT TO VACCINATE the ILLEGAL ALIENS sneaking across the border who get ARRESTED and RELEASED after spending a few days or weeks on a MILITARY BASE.

Or do they pop them just as they are loading up on the bus to the airport? Voter suppression?

So, they're saying that some people who are hospitalized are less sick than others, and those who are vaccinated are presumably less sick than those who were not. Yet, they do not quantify this ratio between sick vaccinated and more sick unvaccinated.

Nor do they adequately identify the "sickness"!

So, typically dot com websites aren't trustworthy.

I think they're referencing theses two sites:

Fumble Finger above.
As we have seem over and over again regarding covid (and only opening about covid), fake news spawns more fake news. The vaccines are effective, maybe not 100%, but in the high eighties or low to mid nineties. If I'm holding a poker hand with those percentages, I'm betting big on that hand. Mother Nature will have her way with those who can't calculate the odds.
