Default Was Keynes a Capitalist or Socialist?

Thoughts? I think him brilliant and misunderstood. A Capitalist.

https://www.pragcap.com/myths-keynesian-economics/

Keynes was a capitalist. He even stated, in plain English that he was on the side of the capitalists: ... But he also understood that unfettered capitalism could actually undermine its own existence and lead to socialism.

I think he was a capitalist too. His concern about "unfettered capitalism" has become a reality. In the sense that you have one percent of the population having control of 90% of the wealth. The biggest difference between democrats and republicans is that democrats try to give everyone a fair shot at getting to the "middle class". The republicans are okay with the way things are "one percent of the population in control of 90% of the wealth".

Capitalist.
Where the misconception comes from is where his thoughts on govt control are mistaken to be socialist whereas his intent was that govt can control a steady increase in business economics.

I wish I could remember the name of a book I'd read on just that. It's premise was that the fall of the Soviet Union was also the beginning of the end of Capitalism. Without the threat of Socialism this country was turning into Crony Capitalism....which gave rise to people like Trump. This was before Trump but that was the prediction.

You act like that is some horrible thing!

Yea....and the only time in my lifetime that we sorta followed his advice when our economy was humming was in the late 90's.

That is why I think Trump was horrible. He was running up trillion dollar deficits in good times!

We need a Democrat in the WH and a GOP led House.

You may get your wish Nov 22.
Repubs just need 7 more seats.
May pick up an easy one in a Texas special election.

Democrats want to make the wealthy poorer even if that makes everyone poorer. Barrack Obama and Elizabeth Warren have said as much. Republicans believe in prosperity for everyone.

Poor wtf - the DPST/ccp es will never comprehend that confiscating money from those who create jobs

Makes Everyone poorer.

As if teh Government creates 'prosperity' by confiscating 'government money for politicians' from working taxpayers who create product and wealth.

Do you even know who JM Kenyes was and do you have a intelligent response to the question?

If not please run along.

This is not the Big Republican Kool Aid. It's the Jeff Flake / Rand Paul Kool Aid. Smaller government and lower taxes are the reasons the USA, Switzerland, Singapore and Ireland have higher GDP and median income per capita than other developed countries when you kick out the petrostates and small places. Democrats want bigger government and higher taxes. Implement Democratic policies for an extended period of time, say 20 or 30 years, and our per capita GDP will end up 20% or more lower than it would be otherwise.

Please reread below, it explains my point of this thread.
