the only thing that would matter to me is, if you win, can you remain anonymous. otherwise, no damn way i'm gonna spend even a dolla, no matter how positive the expectation value. might as well just put a bullseye on ur back.

What is happening is they are trying to get people to spend their stimulus money on the lotto, so it goes right back to the government. Very soon now you will see both jackpots will have winners.

That's just mathmatical. The bigger the jackpot, the more people play. The more people play, the more numbers get chosen. The more numbers chosen the better the odds of a winner.

You can't win if you don't play. For my wife, its cheaper than spending 8 hours driving to LA and getting $25 of "free" play.

Anyway, I went to the lottery office to collect my "big check."

First when I arrive I notice a big sign saying "No Walkins. You must have an appointment." I have an appt. I've been waiting a month. "Must wear mask". I've got a mask.

Walk into to the office which has kinda a small bank feel. Large bullet proof glass between the lobby and the workers. There's 5 teller like positions. One other person on my side of the glass filling out paperwork. 7 more empty chairs.

Quickly greeted by a guy who takes my ticket and info. I notice 8 other people sitting at their desks looking at their screens. They're doing nothing except cruising the interweb. At the teller positions the holes in the bulletproof glass you talk thru are all taped up. You have to talk thru the slot. Somehow that's more sanitary.

By glancing at the appt paperwork they guy had when I arrived its ovbvious that they are at minimal capacity. 5 columns for each teller but only one has names on it. Maybe. Most are at their desks so you can't see their computer screens.

The guy gets my check out in about 5 minutes. The other person finished up and had their money EFTd. In the 10 minutes I was there nobody else showed up.

Its a joke. That's the way govt operates. I should of had my money a month ago. But 10 people have minimal stress permanent employment.
