Is Texas really gonna flip?
I've been hearing this a lot lately. Please elaborate.

Well you see it’s very close and Texas is supposed to be Republican red.
However our Republican president is the worst America has ever seen sooooo he’s probably not gonna be there for long.
Personally if he weren’t as bad as he is, I would have voted Republican.
But I had to swallow my hatred of Democrats because the US won’t survive 4 more years of the division. Trump is a miserable piece of shit that is no good for the world, and awful for America.
Who the hell would want to live this last year for 4 more.
President Ostrich hides his head in the sand while the country fails.
Even worse he stokes the flames of failure.

We will revisit this thread after the election. When Texas stays red, and DJT is elected for another term, I hope the pinko libtards pack their bags and move to Venezuela. The last 4 years have been a massive improvement over the 8 before that. The turmoil of the last 4 years has been created by the lefts continual temper tantrum. The participation trophy crowd never learned to deal with losing.
The world wide pandemic is the only thing that slowed our economy. The Texas economy draws libs like flies. It sad that they water down our political positions.
Hopefully the left has better coping skills this time, or things might get messier than they already are.

These 2 contrary opinions above are both right yet wrong.
Know this OP, if the state does turn blue people are going to a) lose their shit and b) claim voter fraud c) once crawfish season comes around no one will care anymore.

I mean I understand the delimma. But turning blue would be like cutting off your dick to spite your balls. But hey, you gotta do what you gotta do.

I seriously doubt Texas flips this year but it's coming. There are enough solidly Republican counties outside the 5 Major metro areas to hold off the influx of people fleeing the cesspool cities and high tax states they've created elsewhere to make a difference but it will take them a few years figure out where our weaknesses are.
It will likely be environmental.
I've been concerned with the last several years of these 10 acres and a barndo ads I've seen popping all over Texas. I'm wondering who actually buys those. I don't know anyone who has. I suspect it's out of staters wanting their piece of land and they are able to buy it with the cash proceeds of the sale of their homes in the states they are fleeing. They can work from home if they even need to work at all. I have a friend who is succesful a day trader here. He communicates with a lot of other day traders on some kind of network they have(maybe facebook IDK). Many of those guys are in Cali and are leaving to much more tax friendly states like Texas and Tennessee. You can day trade from anywhere as long as you have an internet connection and if you do it right you don't have to even be connected all day long.
I've spent some time in areas of California and Washington state and with people who are solidly Republican. They are so far outnumbered they don't even bother to vote but even those Republicans are protective of their environment and I get it. You can't drive along Hwy 1 from Pismo to Monterey or Hwy 2 outside of Seattle to Leavenworth and not want those areas to remain pristine. Problem is they get so radical about it thinking anyone who isn't as rabid of a tree hugger as them want's to destroy it and build factories and condos. That just isn't the case. Let them bring those radical environment over everything attitudes to Texas and next thing you know you won't be able to tube the San Marcos River or ride The Three Sisters without a permit. Many Texans, even Texan Democrats will fight that and the state will be purple for a while but Republicans aren't the kind of nasty political fighters that Dems are.

In 2018 I thought Cruz would win over robert o'rourke by a landslide, but the race was a lot closer than I expected. Texas is edging blue, but hopefully isn't there yet.

I think if Beto would have eased back slightly on 2 or 3 of his points he would have won.
He went full libtard, never go full libtard.

You know Texas doesn't do straight ticket voting. So you can vote for whatever President you want & still go Republican, Democrat, Libertarian, Green Party, & write-in on the rest.
As far as the influx of people from California, Washington, St. Louis etc. I'm 50:50 on some of these Californians. Fuck ALL those bitches from Washington, & St. Louis.... I still haven't figured out why

He is what he is though. Had he backed off I don't think he would have had much of a campaign.

Cruz is a sock puppet for the GOP. I just want to know who is telling him what to think and vote.

For the first time in my life, I voted for a Democrat for President. 4 yrs ago I voted Libertarian. Republicans used to complain about Obama not abiding by the Constitution, but IMHO Trump has been far worse. Worst of all, the Republican Senators and Representatives lacked the balls to keep a check on him.
Will Texas turn blue for Biden? I give it a 50-50 chance. I'm also thinking the Democrats will gain 5-10 seats in the Senate.
It could take 10 yrs for the Republican Party to recover from Trump.
