4:19 p.m. Gov. Greg Abbott announced Wednesday that bars can open next week at 50 percent capacity.

Starting October 14th, county judges can opt into opening bars in their jurisdictions, provided they assist in enforcing health protocols, Abbott said.

This is ridiculous on her part. Just catch the train at 6:00 in the morning going from Smithland to the medical center and you will quickly see how even medical care workers could care less about social distancing when it comes to getting to work on time and surviving. They are strangling an industry and it’s so sad. Any club with common sense just put a microwave in your place and start selling hot pockets to call yourself a restaurant. Tell the county judge to jump off a ledge. She works for us.

I posted a question in another forum about Troad opening. It appears there is an old fashioned knock system, they will let you in if they recognize you. Anyway, some of my favorite hole in the wall bars have just said screw it, we're opening.

The couple of times I went in the T road bars you could count the number of occupants on one hand.
