Hail Damage Insurance Claim & an Orthodontist POST DIVORCE grrr

Need a referral or an owner of one or both of these

My Son had braces put on by Apple Orthodontics with the agreement that he'd go to an oral sureon and have 2 teeth pulled and TADs put in. The Divorce happened, his Dad never paid the Apple bill on time and the oral surgery never got scheduled. His Father is worthless. Now Apple won't treat him. They said I could bring him up and get the braces off. My Nanny took him to get them taken off and they gave her a form for me to sign agreeing to pay $1,600. They haven't seen him in over 4 months. The metal bar that holds the braces together fell out months ago. I just need an orthodontist that I can pay a fee to to get these fkrs off. lol
( BTW this is my step son. Like I said. Worthless )

With that said, after 3 of our 6 cars got repossessed , I got a cash van out the marriage And then it got hit by hail and I need a hail repair vendor to give me a high end price for the claim

Any help is beyond sincerely appreciated.

Can you get a payment plan at Apple? And your lawyer really should have put in your divorce decree that your ex was responsible for the dental bills. Maybe you can sue him? Unless the boy is over 18. If he is, he can get a job to help pay the bills. But many fast food places hire 15 year olds.

In the divorce decree, he is ordered to pay the orthodontic bill. But that's civil and takes time. I'm done with wasting time & attorney fees on my ex. Paying an attorney helps in no way when the person you're suing isn't worth anything. I learned that the hard way $10k later. My Son has had these useless metal things stuck to his teeth for months now and Apple is denying services due to his dad not scheduling the oral surgery. My credit is shot, so I can't even finance the oral surgery. I'd rather just pay a fee and be done with it. It's not a dire need to have braces or remove teeth.

If this is your stepson, and not trying to be dickish and understand that the ex is a piece of work, why is this your worry and what about the boys mother?

Call the judge that issued the decree. Set up an appointment to see him. Wear old, but nice clothes. Put the bills, your income taxes/income statement and decree in front of the judge and ask him to sling shit on the deadbeat bastard.

If that judge is worth his/her salt, he garnish the jerk's wages to pay the bill. Also, make sure all payments are made through the court, so he can't say he"s paid you already.

Is this possible? Just schedule a sit down? If it is, I wish I would've done it 2 years ago. This is just the tip of the iceburg that hit my kids and I. I don't have money for an attorney. I'm barely just now getting back on my feet. When i showed up without an attorney, the judge HATED me. I didn't know all the BullSHIT court procedure like how to enter documents into evidence, when to talk, when not to, etc. It was a HORRIBLE experience.

Regardless, I don't want drama with my ex. The last thing I need is for him to lawyer up. I'm SOLD on being better off and doing without his help. We only get to do this once and I'm much more capable than he ever will be. Time is $ and effort is everything. So....I just want to pry the metal off his teeth lol I feel horrible he has to go through all of this. Some people focus on the wrong things. Life lesson learned.
