$15 Minimum Wage in Seattle Killed Jobs
http://freebeacon.com/issues/report-...e-killed-jobs/
Seattle's groundbreaking minimum wage hike hurt the low-income people that it was meant to help, according to a report prepared for the city council.
there are consequences in ignoring math.
this is why govts should not be in the business of setting wages.

If this story weren't so sad a commentary on the ignorance of the Liberal Economists, it would be hilarious. But there are victims as a result of the Liberal know-nothing bullshit.

No, actually it IS hilarious!
This "experiment" woulda never taken place in Texas. The fact it took place where it did is an indictment per their "sugar plums dancing in their head" mentality. Stoopid is as stoopid duz...

Are the kiosks's recordings in English?
Also, I wouldn't empty your retirement account to buy quite yet.

san antonio's recent election for mayor and city council is a case in point
they were installed and sworn in last week
during the campaigning, one liberal running in a more conservative district claimed there's no partisanship in fixing potholes
he somehow was elected and now his first agenda item is to raise the minimum wage in San Antonio to $15
the council and mayor's first agenda item was to pass a resolution in support of the paris climate accord
other items they talked about supporting:
1. sanctuary cityhood
2. light rail
3. becoming a city of "compassion"

I knew there was a reason I bypass San Antonio every chance I get, just like Austin.
Best thing they ever did was put that toll road on the east side of Austin.

Totally bogus report. He cherry picked parts of the research to support his view. Seattle is currently going through a boom period and workers are hard to find. People in low paying jobs are leaving for higher paying jobs. Employers are having to offer more starting pay to attract the workers they need. There has been a lot of discussion about this research because they made no effort to find a control group to see if the Seattle results were better, worse or the same as what was going on in other cities

Do you mean burger flippers are now designing jet engines for Boeing? Or designing software for MicroSoft? The study pertains to low skill jobs. And those stuck there are getting hurt by the higher MW. Now Big Schmooie, argue that higher MW will benefit low skill workers. It hasn't in Seattle.

Anyone who has ever run a business or has paid employees knew that this wouldn't work.
It's not rocket surgery.
