Default Thanks to Nitwitboy and Alyssa Nicole

First I would like to say Thanks to Nitwitboy for posting in Locker Room and always telling us guys to go and get regular checkups for Prostate Cancer.

Well my Birthday was last week and I did just that, went and I got the examine and blood test and the Dr. did find something he did not like and sent me on to a specialist but I had to wait a week. Well second round of test came back normal so I'm in the clear and will continue to follow up on every birthday. Thanks Nitwitboy.

Second I want to Thank Alyssa, because everyday for the last week she would send me text's and emails telling me not to worry and keep my head up because she knew I was Cancer free. Thanks Alyssa

Glad to hear that it all worked out well in the end.

A side note, historically, the PSA blood test was done prior to the manual exam because physically disturbing the walnut (or golf ball for we lucky ones) increases the PSA count. This practice has been abandoned in the last few years, probably for the convenience factor or to save an office call.

But, I get my PSA checked every six months because of testosterone supplementation, and the one time it was check after a digital exam it spike pretty noticeably.

That is great news FM. I am glad to hear the test results were good.

Very nice post also to thank people that helped you. We sure could use more of this on the board.

I don't know, but something tells me you're really fond of Alyssa Nicole. I may be wrong though, lol

Seriously though, glad to hear it wasn't anything serious.

Glad to hear the good news.

Question, if I may ...

How does it feel to be a funeral director and ponder your own mortality? Or do you just see our inevitable demise as a fact of life? (Sorry, I'm feeling philosophical today.)

Got a friend that is worth easily $100M. Physician missed an elevated PSA. Stage 4 prostrate. All over but the waiting.

Funeral and Nit speak the truth!

Seriously, I'm happy for you...kinda puts a lot of things in perspective...it did for me 11 years ago. And don't miss the regular visits.
GO STARS, DAMITT!!
