Don't have a lot of time right now but start your brains...
....and libtards, you're going to need some jumper cables.
Calexit. Good idea, bad idea. We had all the leftists decrying the idea that Texas could, or would, secede from the union but now the Berkenstock is on the other foot. What if California secedes? Can they? Should they? Do they have to take their share of the national debt (including Obama's 10 trillion dollars)? Do they take it per capita? How about that they take a larger share if they voted overwhelming in favor of each president who increased the debt? I assume that they have to pay for all federal land and constructs inside California or there could be war. After all, it was the insistence of the South that Fort Sumter belonged to them and not the federal government who built it. Speaking of "you didn't build that", what about the interstate highways? They have value. Dams, airports, military bases, national monuments...
California may have water now but in the future they're going to have to buy their water from out of state again. Same thing for energy since they refused to build any new power plants. Food? Man (and woman) do not live by almonds and avocadoes alone.
There's more thought provoking things when I have time.
I assume that all of our libtard friends will move to California as soon as the separation becomes reality.

California assets after secession.
I don't think much of that won't happen. it'll be like when the Philippines & Cuba became independent. they didn't owe anything to USA. much of the federal properties will be turned over to the state or sold off to private interest.
not sure about the water. is that govern by state compact?

..... the land is Federal land ... they can't just "take it" ....
... their distribution of farming productivity is regulated by Federal law and interpretations by the SCOTUS .... and their interstate compacts will be the same.
If they were to separate from the union their "contracts" would no longer be with the State of California and the State would effectively be withdrawing from those contracts. They would have to renegotiate them .. .and California is not a good "risk" economically.

Remember who the president will be....the negotiator in chief. What's the People's Republic of California going to do? Refuse to give back the San Diego Naval Station. They want it, it's going to cost them.

I look at it from a slightly different angle ..... if they ever reach the point where the people of California vote to secede from the United States, then Trump, Congress and the powers necessary in such a case should do everything they can to make it a smooth and swift process ..... and let them take their 55 electoral votes with them when they go ..... and they've single-handedly made it practically impossible for any Democrat to win any future races for the White House .....

Most, if not all of the phony "popular vote" would vanish if CA were to succeed. After all, remember the foolish rube that
Russia hacked our election, flipping tens of thousands of votes to Trump in swing states....
...And gave Hillary Clinton a 2.9 million popular vote lead to show that they have a sense of humor. Sounds plausible to me.

Naahh Hillary got her 2.9 million popular vote advantage from dead voters and illegal immigrants who never bothered to register to vote or get a voter I.D. ..... and since there's probably 10 million or so of those in California, I say all the more reason for letting them secede .....

She's gotten so bad she forgot yesterday that she doesn't get to vote for the Supreme Court justice!!!! She needs to hookup with Sheila Jackson Lee and look for the flag planted by the U.S. astronauts on Mars!

If California is alowed to secede, that will be the end of the USA as we know it. It will set a precedence for other states. Washington, Oregon, New York, all of New England and mid-atlantic states will quickly follow.
The alternative is civil war. And no, war is not "fun". Just ask those soldiers who came back from Iraq. Especially civil war. Will you shoot your own son? cousins? Friends?
Is this what you all want? To break up the union? All these talks about secession is treasonous.

California wants "war" ... after they lose the "union" will rebuild the state's infrastructure destroyed by the "war" and the State won't have to pay for it ...
