Oceana, in all its glory, is a speck on the globe....all of 1.29 square miles. That's it.
The CITY of Virginia Beach has a current population around 450,000. Oceana, on the other hand, is composed of less than 1400 people. In Texas, we have middle schools larger than that.

NOLA had a Black Mayor Sydney Barthelemy in 80's, Marc Morial in the 90's, Ray Nagin in the early 2000's and during Hurricane Katrina, all three were Black. Mitch Landrieu is the current mayor he's white and a Democrat. NOLA has also had a few Black Chiefs of Police.
