Ms. Elena,

In a closed thread you commented that another thread was probably closed because it contained a couple providers and guys talking about doubles. I think it's strange (and more than a little hypocritical) that you would come to that conclusion since you and Jackie have made a habit of promoting each other, talking about doubles, etc. Don't you think that Katherine Butler and Morgan Amanda deserve the same leeway as you and Jackie Devlin get? Aren't they also verified providers?

I'm really not trying to pick a fight with you, i just think (in the spirit of Martin Luther King's birthday coming up on Monday) that everyone should be treated equally. Don't you?

You asked and I offered my guesses. The 2nd guess was per the MOD's in the other thread, it wasn't my conclusion. I suggest you go read that thread and why the MOD's closed it. Your question can be answered there.

Of course you wanted to pick a fight or else you wouldn't have posted this thread.

I posted vs. PM because i thought it was worth discussing as a group. How far are our public discussions allowed to go before they get shut down? Where is the line between casual flirting and advertising?

And the only reason I spoke to Ms. Elena specifically is because I've seen her and Jackie have the same kind of conversations in the past. Which I don't have any problem with at all except for her stating that it's why the thread got shut down.

Again, please go read the reason why that thread was closed. It wasn't MY decision, it was done by the MOD's. You directed this post towards me because I responded and gave in MY opinion's the reasons why.

Darlin', any lady can post what they want. Its up the MOD's as to what is allowed, not me. So, your post is directed at the wrong person.

Someone should promote themselves or doubles so that this thread can be closed as well.
Wait, every post by us is sort of an ad in a round-a-bout way, or not so round-a-bout sometimes.
This board HAS changed a lot in what they used to let slide and what they have started to crack down on lately though. Maybe they were told to be more diligent about making sure all the rules are enforced. Who knows except the mods?

Ms. Elena, I'm sorry you're taking this so personally. I've stated in my posts that I wasn't trying to pick a fight, merely using you as an example. It seems that the mods pick and choose what gets to stay and what gets shot down not based upon the content of the discussion but by who is doing the discussing.

And darlin', I've also asked a couple of times for your opinion on that specific topic because you seem to carry a lot of weight on the board. Why are you so reluctant to give it? I'll ask again, do you think these types of flirty posts should be allowed to stay or not, even if they are clearly promotional?

I'm not taking this personal, you're the one who singled me out remember? For some reason, you're fixated on me and I'm quite flattered. But, I don't hold any weight on this board nor with anyone who posts on here.

Why do you want my opinion on this matter? Why does my opinion matter so much to you? No need to answer as I won't be responding anymore.

I actually owe you a big thank you. Because of your post, my next trip to KC with Haley is fillng up with requests for doubles with Jackie and Haley. So, thank you again.

But, to get back on topic. Again, you need to take it up with the MODs on what threads stay open, not me. Better yet, have them explain to you why that thread was closed since you don't seem to understand the explanation that was given.

We're not really trying to "crack down" on people, but we do have some new polices regarding advertisements that we're working through.

Or advertising yourself and your doubles in your last post. I guess was pretty prophetic when i titled the thread.

I also find it interesting that a mod posts right after you ad for doubles yet doesn't close the thread. Guess you have a little more pull than you're letting on.

Dick, relax. I'm failing to see what the big deal. I didn't close this thread because I don't really see anything wrong with letting people talk stuff out. We tend to close threads on a case by case basis that usually centers around people being civil to one another.

I will let you know that Elena and Jackie don't really have any pull with me other the other mods. I'm also going to ask you to lay off, or I'm going to close this thread.

Dick have you ever looked at the Main board? Every single freaking thread devolves into blatant promotion within the first 5 posts. Hell, even in the technical support forum I've seen shit hijacked.

Thank you, Lilianna. That goes directly to my point. Most threads turn into flirting sessions. Which, if you think about it, is the whole point of this website. Connecting hobbyists and providers. A little harmless flirtation is not cause to shut down a thread no matter who is participating in it. All I'm asking for is that the mods apply some consistency so we can all know what to expect. Where is the line? Some go WAY beyond the ones that were shut down. So that makes me wonder if some posters get more leeway than others.

Dick, I think you're missing the point. I read the thread you're referencing, and, according to Bubba, it wasn't closed because of the flirting; it was closed because it was turning into a review (implicitly). I have not seen a flirting thread closed, but I have seen argumentative threads closed and inappropriate threads closed.
