Default non members

Do the rules of our community pertain to non members of eccie alive or dead? Just curious.

Rules apply to posters.
Dead posters could be some kind of grey area..

It's a little hard to enforce forum guidelines on people, alive, or especially, dead, who don't post in these forums...

Was just a curious about a review bump I saw that got closed. I dont think the departed was ever a member here . Thats why I was wondering about why the rules applied to its closing.

Of course the above quoted rule doesn't apply, Salem was never a member here.

The real life references being edited has some limited validity; but can you really out the dead?

Closing the thread was just another example of interloper interference with a local board.

I am going to put my 2cents in on a concern I have for some providers who post face pics on escort ads.

Sure it is a personal choice. The deceased appears to lots of loving family members and friends, yet now that she has passed, there are hundred of face pictures of this girl on the internet as a hooker. It makes for a sad personal legacy.

You incorrectly phrased your question, OP...

You asked if the forum guidelines applied to non-members, or dead people. They obviously don't, since they can't post here. You should have asked, "Do the forum guidelines apply to members of this board when the discussion is about someone who is dead, or is a non-member, or is both?"

The answer to that is, of course, some of them do, some of them don't...

Jokacz' concern revolves around the semantic difference between "member of our community" and "member of the ECCIE website." Or maybe she was a member of the board and he just didn't know it. Or maybe the mods had told people to not discuss her real life info before, and doing so now violates staff instructions. Or maybe, judging by the number of edits in that thread, by a number of different people, from different levels of staff, you could assume that this has been discussed out of your view and a course of action has been decided. Any way you choose to see it, his concern isn't valid...

Humbly, may I submit that closing that thread and deleting certain information with concern to a deceased person was the right thing to do.

Many times; it's not the letter of the law, but the spirit of the law.

Ijs.

My opinion and two bucks'll get you a cup of coffee.

Outing is always bad. Even if someone is dead, the family still matters. Funny I made a thread about her stage name and got a ton of shit from fucktards that are mute on her being outed.

Closing threads is just about as bad, but not quite. That one didn't need to be closed, it was just preventative. If it was right to close it, why weren't all reviews of deceased hooks closed? Potentially more interesting, why did that review get bumped by that handle?

It certainly doesn't matter who is from Texas or Tonawanda.

I like your comments. Farbeit for me with my post count to suggest anything, but if it is known that a provider became deceased, i think all photos and/or profile should be removed.

Eccie is a cut above other hooker sites, and could develop a decent policy. However there are probably difficulties in determining if some one is retiring without a trace, or dead. I would reccomend type of a policy, "if an escort has not logged in a one year span, the profile gets deleted".

I know this discusion is about a non member, but the same thing could have happened with a member, and probably has, i just dont know any.

A policy should be developed for non-member escort reviews, but would need discusion.
