A Safe and Convenient Place in Buffalo to stay?

I would post this in the women's section, but want some input from the guys as well as to what they consider a discreet & convenient location. I haven't ever been to Buffalo and don't know much about the city...so some input on a place to stay for a few days would be helpful.

Most of the hotels/motels are along Transit Road Rt. 78. Or, Niagara Falls Bvd. about 8 miles farther up the 90 to the 290. Usually the girls visiting from Rochester stay in the Transit Rd area. The exit is off the 90 and easy to get to. When are you planning on coming to the fair City of Buffalo MM???? EA.

Try Millinium or Sleep Inn by the airport I always liked that place. Or the Holiday Inn. next to that...

One area that is growing rapidly is the area around the Ridge Rd Exit (54? 55?) on the 90.
Four or more hotels on Slade drive and more on the way.
No providers ever stay at these places... so chances are that the staff is not looking for providers or hobbyists....
And it's convenient to downtown and the burbs.
Just trying to be a good resource....

Thanks everyone. My car died, otherwise I would of come sooner...so I will most likely take amtrak or the megabus to buffalo..so I guess I would need to look at a map and see what's close !

Millennium. There's an Amtrak stop in depew/ cheektowaga. 5 min ride from hotel
