Pussies. 100% trying to keep the GQP out of trouble in November. This would have toasted them. They're kicking it back to the states, 100% rejected on "procedural" grounds.

Ground News - Abortion pill access is unchanged after the Supreme Court's decision. Here's what you need to know

Default Who knew?!?

Geaux 10th amendment...

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

That would explain why states like Texas do all they can to nullify the votes of the "people."

Default R-E-S-P-E-C-T respectively

The good folk at American Heritage respectfully disagree with your understanding of respectively.
Quote:
respectively /rĭ-spĕk′tĭv-lē/ adverb

1) Singly in the order designated or mentioned.
"The bookcase and the table are 5 feet and 3 feet high, respectively."
2) As relating to each; particularly; as each belongs to each; as each refers to each in order.
"let each man respectively perform his duty"
Notwithstanding, there are ~30Million souls in Texas, compared to ~330Million in the USA, USA, USA.
In other words: All politics is local. ~ Thomas P. "Tip" O'Neill

We are straying off topic here, but I think it may be you (like TX GQP) who doesn't seem to understand that "land" is not "people."

Antics like this are how the GQP states, realizing "people" are getting sick of the bullshit, are trying to make "counties" or land the votes they need to capture.

Proposed Texas GOP platform would lock Democrats out of state office | The Texas Tribune
https://www.texastribune.org/2024/05...tion-platform/

Republican Party of Texas delegates voted Saturday on a platform that called for new laws to require the Bible to be taught in public schools and a constitutional amendment that would require statewide elected leaders to win the popular vote in a majority of Texas counties.
