Default Poll says Most Registered Voters Support Mass Deportation

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/cb...ts/ar-BB1nXbFn

A mass round up is unlikely for many reasons, not being legal is one of them, lack of resources is another.

Yet there is a significant segment of the electorate that wants "something" to be done. WE cannot exist as a Nation with the current unrestricted influx of foreign nationals. Thse people have sll jumped the line on folks back home who have followed the rules.

My family waited their turn "in line" to get the proper paperwork together that would allow them to come to the USA and stay. My father waited most of his childhood years for a visa to emigrate to the USA. He was sent to live with an uncle when he was 17, back in 1935, to escape Nazi persecution. Of those family members that did not come over, half did not survive WW-II.

My Grandmother survived a concentration camp and endured the liberation and occupation of the communists. She was allowed to leave in 1965. As a child, I recall that for many years she had to re-register as a "resident alien" annually at the post office. Eventually she got a green card and later on became a citizen.

The CBO calculates that over the next 10 years 7 trillion will be added to the GDP due to immigration. Deportation will cause a decrease in GDP. Reality is population growth in the US has stagnated over the last 20 years.

Immigration is the future of the United States. Whether anyone likes it or not. We need to create laws and institutions to assist in the integration of these new people into our society. Vilifying them and deporting them only makes the situation worse. I can get on board with a plan to speed up the adjudication of asylum claims. It’s the sensible thing to do. But all this requires legislation to pass. Building a wall to keep people out is not going to work because it doesn’t stop the problem in the first place.

If you want to stop the problem of illegal immigration you need to fund and build institutions to keep the ones we want and to deport the ones we don’t. We also need to increase the number of immigrants we allow in. Right now the system we have in place to do this function is failing under the deluge.

Maybe after democrats win the election we can get some legislation passed that will help with the problem.

Building a wall is total waste of money and time. It is just something trump wants to peddle to the magats. They are easily fooled and while building a wall is expensive, it is easier than tackling the real problems. Trump is too dumb to solve any of the real problems.

That all looks good on paper but the reality is there are stupid people running the immigration scene a lot can go wrong and most likely will.
