Default Imagine not being able to use your bluetooth in the car

They are recommending that states make laws against even Bluetooth use of your cell phone while you drive your car. Next they will go after smoking while driving, drinking a beverage and eating a sandwich or bagel. Like they say, its another way to raise money.

Exactly. Just another cash grab. Troopers will tell you, It's far easier and more money to write seat belt tickets than to run down speeders.

Everyone complains about people talking/texting while driving but I see more people distracted sipping on their coffee than anything else but that's legal.

Do some research! There are multiple studies by many experts. Cell phones are very distracting, whether bluetooth or handsfree. They should disable cell phones when they are moving more than 5mph.

5mph, hell how am I going to get that call from Hunter when I'm getting a lap dance. mmmm but then I would not get the "can you pick me up some Whatever on your way here". mmmm I have mixed feelings on this.

1) its a state problem. none of the fed's business.

2) all states have distracted driving laws. NY has many

3) then how will onstar call when falling down that cliff when ya missed that turn when on the cell.

Does any of this research explain why the same issues did not exist in the 70's when CB radios were so commonplace?

depends who you ask

its from the same folks that do the DWI research.

a drunk stopped at a red light. a person hits him/her from behind and dies. its the drunks fault. gotta love DATA. it can be twisted any way ya want. drunk should get a DWI. but how is it his/her fault.

Take a look at all the research data for the leading reasons for death. Add all the deaths together. Now look at how many people in the US. We are all dead. sweet

I suppose now we're not supposed to get a BJ while driving either now.
