As some of you know, there have been a few security breaches as of late. I think I speak for most of the ladies here.

For the men
1. Dont leave our locations programmed in your gps or leave them in your cell phones. Exercise your minds instead and make mental notes. If you don't remember each time you visit, ask us. We wont look down on you even if you have to ask 100 times.
2. If your keeping our phone numbers in your cell phones, regardless whether you have a hobby phone or not, at least change our contact names. Give us an alias of some sort. Whether it be "vacuum repair" or "stock quotes." Etc. I know it sounds silly but its for all of our safety.

For the ladies
1. DONT announce other ladies locations as angry as you get! They may know yours as well and wont be so nice in return.
2. Dont gossip. Our lives are no-ones business but our own.

We are all adults here. Lets treat each other with respect even if we may not agree about certain things. I like to think we are all on the same team.
Remember "United we stand, divided we fall."

FWIW This past summer two different hobbyists were detained by Canadian Customs for one hour of harassment during which their mobile phones were “examined”. Not sure how significant this is as it occurred during the heightened paranoia in the wake of LE paying a visit to the Diamonds escort agency party. Maybe it’s time to bring back the “little black book” with all entries in coded form.

Great thread idea Erica!

If I could add some other helpful tidbits.

1) LOG OUT
Always double check that you properly logged out of your hobby email and websites, and check your browser privacy settings. A co-worker nailed her husband because he failed to log out of his email. She read everything between him and his mistress. Don't wait for the SO to read some internet article "Top 10 Websites He Visits When He Cheats!" Too easy for that SO to come to this site and read every review you made with the ladies contact info.

2) GET TESTED REGULARLY
A different type of security but important as well. Avoid unsafe practices especially BBFS.... unless of course you're drunk, swore you were tested yesterday, had a vasectomy, promise you won't CID, had the rash clear up last week and wash yourself with bleach after- then go for it! hehe

Good post Erica. I just assumed this was all standard practice. Never keep the numbers. Use private web connections and delete all history. Keeping the providers safe keeps me safe and vice versa.

some thing i always do is if i have to put a providers number in my phone so i can get a hold of them when going to an appointment. is that i will end up naming it with a guys name. Then after we meet i wipe it from phone and delete histories.

sorry to double post. another thing to keep in mind. is even though you delete a text message and the provider deletes it. it can still be recovered from the cell provider. at most depending on the provider they will keep it for 72 hours up to 10 days. that is another good reason why having a hobby phone is a must.
