Burner phone advice

As someone who’s been retired since 2017 and wish to see some of my ATF’s again, I’m very behind the times when it comes to the best methods of contact. I have P411 and trying to get back in the groove of things so what is everyone using today? I used to use a TracFone, but any of the burner phone companies today all use your private info for set-up. Not so easy to go to WM and just set up a burner any longer. I used to use my Trac Fone but even adding points was intrusive. Used Google Voice a long time back but that was a hassle. Used to use Telegram or Signal for texting but not sure of the security of those today….especially Telegram.
Does anyone even still use SnapChat anymore?

Sometimes I would just arrange everything through Proton.

I mean is any communique truly secure or private today?

Get a cheap smartphone, but don't activate it. Just use free WiFi and WhatsApp or KakaoTalk.

The best thing I would do is get a basic Smart phone via a prepaid option.

Set up a Gmail account for it to register with using bogus info. This way if it goes missing or the need to purge comes up, you sign into that new account via another device & delete the account. Contacts on the phone should vanish as long as they are stored on the google account.

I’ve been checking into those phones sold by a certain celeb aka Van Wilder and DP.
Seems they don’t require any personal information at all to sign up.

Yes. I download it from App Store, text whoever, delete it before getting home.

Um... I've had fictitious info on my tracfone account for more than several years now, and no one from tracfone has ever reached out once to ask me questions about it. Furthermore, they accept payment by prepaid gift card, which can be bought at retail stores using cash, and registered under fictitious information.

For real privacy, go the degoogled or Ubuntu Touch route. Degoogling is more difficult these days, apparently. Getting prepaid cards/phones not in your name is a pain. I actually thought of selling activated phones on Ebay for such purposes.

I moved to proton mail for my emails . Much more secure and private.
