Usual way to book?
Hey guys and gals, I got spooked a couple weeks ago trying to book with someone, and it scared me.
I saw an ad on Skip the Games, and they replied back with broken english, and we went to prices, and suddenly their english got really good. They gave me an address to a hotel (this was in Topeka), and I mentioned I was driving from 45 minutes away, and they wanted to know when I was close. This part makes sense, and I get it.
When I pulled into the parking lot, I did a little scout drive around the lot, and it was a typical crappy-looking motel along South Topeka Dr. I saw a nicer vehicle that looks like LEO (white SUV with the typical impact-bumper that LEO vehicles have). The vehicle disappeared and I told the person I was booking with that I was five minutes out. I stayed in the parking lot, near the entrance, parked in reverse so I could continue surveying the area.
The vehicle reappeared back at the lot, and looked straight at me. The next text was "how old are you and what race?", and I answered them and they replied, "can you send me selfie so I know who's coming into the room?"
It was at that point that I got spooked and fled and a couple minutes after that I replied that I couldn't come and left town, but not the direction I came.
Did this sound like a set-up, or was I just being overly paranoid?
How do most legit providers book and confirm?
Any newbie-friendly providers I might be able to talk to?
