Correct. Accounts/profiles, posts, reviews, etc., are not removed except in extremely rare circumstances (I cannot remember one being removed).
Normally, accounts are disabled. The username remains in view as do the posts and reviews. In the event of serious security issues an account can be guested, which removes the username but the reviews and posts remain in view.
A disabled account allows the user to come back to the site and reclaim the original username. Guested accounts give up the username.
The admin staff makes the final call if a member wishes to havehos account guested.
