I'm going to be riding thru on Thursday night and and staying for a couple nights.

Any suggestions in the best casino to stay at in the area?

Wow....no love for Margaritaville?
If it is a matter of someone from out of town with no perks I can see where Horseshoe is a good suggestion. However, why not just go Diamond Jacks? I know things have fallen apart since the unsuccessful "buyout" or whatever. But....DJ's still has decent suites, free drinks and occasional action (parties or worthwhile entertainment) . I will be first to admit that there is an odd mixture of hood / pwt (poor white trash). But in the end, price + quality + atmosphere I would still consider DJ's as a viable option

DJ is ghetto. Used to play there a lot when it was the isle but it's the ghettoest casino in the area always has been. The hotel is okay but the environment sucks.

Margarittaville is overpriced because of the newness. Everyone wants to check it out. Nothing special about it except it's next to the boardwalk but so is the horseshoe.

1) Horseshoe

2) Eldorado
3) margarittaville
