Cancelation Policy?
I have never needed this, but I'm wondering if it's fair to charge a cancelation fee to someone who shows up and leaves?
If a lady spends time verifying and prepping for a date, and her gent shows but doesn't like the location or has home issues (etc ) and needs to leave should she still get paid for the time she's spent preparing?

I've had to cancel before, sometimes at the last minute due to unforseen circumstances. But, in every instance, I have rescheduled the appointment and never have been asked for a cancellation. We clients understand that you spend time in preparation, have to pay for an incall, and quite potentially turn down other clients that wanted to see you at the same time.
If the guy just downright canceled on you, especially after showing up, then yeah, you may consider a cancellation policy. Something like no more appointments without a deposit. They can use a gift card or green dot card or other anonymous way to send $. If he showed up and leaves without rescheduling, you have little ability to force him to pay anything. But, I've heard there are provider's sites where you can list him as a "problem" client.

I had to late cancel once so I swung by her place, gave her half the donation, and she seemed pleased. I'm sure some folks figure cancellations are just part of the business (it goes both ways after all), but the way I look at it, your livelihood depends on us to some degree, so I'm not going to leave you empty handed. Not only do you spend time prepping, but you might have turned down an appointment for the same time slot.

I've never had a problem client, but it's a bit perturbing when you've paid to stay an extra day at a hotel for a guy who shows up and leaves. Now I'm out 100 bucks.
Made me really want to go home early.

I've had a cancellation/ncns policy for a long time. It's kept a lot of timewasting and chronically indecisive types away.
I've only had to enforce it twice in the 3.5yrs I've had it.

Cancellation policys are routinely one sided......with no such penalty of pay on the provider.
Not once in all my years has a provider paid me back for preparations I made for a meet when she couldn't show up. I'd attribute this more to it just happens. Hopefully less than normal.

I do not do cancelation fees but it is why many women require a deposit for travel dates.
Your reputation needs to be above reproach so the guys know your not gonna flake on them if they do a deposit...
I will not pre book someone that was a no show without pre payment... So their only other way back in is to take a chance I am available and be a last min walk in...
I will admit I have stayed in some questionable places but I have never been told no or walked out on because of it... Maybe he used that as the excuse and he just had a bad vibe or wondered if it was a sting? Something outside might have spooked him...
