I think it hurts Mrs. Lynch's credibility, but the continuing narrative is that it just hardens people's opinion's that they already had concerning the parties involved.

To an extent, it is true in my case. I felt Mrs. Lynch was a partisan hack who got the job she didn't deserve, and felt she had to pay back her benefactors.
