But, this happened to me VERY recently. We all know that JoCo is dangerous and Lenexa is off limits. But I wasn't seeing an escort. I was seeing my girlfriend. I got a room on Priceline that had internet access so I could also work in between rounds because if was an daytime playtime. We got to the room separately and were inside minding our own business for several hours. We left the hotel to go grab a quick bite and came back to the room. We were there for just an hour or so and got a knock on the door. 3 of Lenexa's finest. 2 Males and a Female cop. They said they were "looking for signs of prostitution" and we "drew their attention". I can only guess that when we came back in, even though we used a side door, a 47 yo man and a 25 yo woman set off the alarm with the girl behind the desk (who was different than the guy I checked in with) and they called.
By the time they were at the door they already had my license and had run my car plates as well and pretty much demanded to be let in. And, before all of you armchair lawyers tell me the BS about "just say no and close the door", I can assure you, it doesn't work like that. The hotel manager was there basically saying "cooperate or leave. we don't want any trouble". And the would have just waited around the corner and pulled us over. After all, they already knew my name!
Now, in this instance she is not, was not, has never been nor will ever BE an escort/hooker/prostitute. She's a college girl. There was no money exchanged. At all. But they searched every inch of the hotel, my bag, us, our vehicles, etc. They commented on the lack of a suitcase, etc. They (actually the female cop) pulled her aside and tried to get my GF to admit that she'd been paid or coerced to be there. They counted her money (she had like $20 on her). You actually should have seen the look on their face when they realized we'd been there for 9 hours and she only had $20 on her. The only thing funnier was when they searched my car and reached in my gym bag to pull out a 1 gallon zip lock back of a brick of a white, powdery substance......GYM CHALK!!! BUt that cop almost jizzed in his pants at first. I had a hard time not laughing outloud.
Anyway. It was a MAJOR inconvenience. It wasted a lot of our time and truly scared the shit out of my GF. Not a pleasant experience AT ALL. I knew not to see an escort there, but never in my wildest dreams did I think they'd knock on my door. Obviously I wasn't in "hobby mode". Just playtime mode. But that could have been a disaster for anyone that does have legal issues or possessed something other than gym chalk.

If this happened the way you described it, you should at least get something from the hotel like a free night.

Lenexa has been on the shit list for some time due to being in bed with Larry and the hotels for acting in much the way informants would. That situation draws attention to front desk personnel in more locations than just a singular hotel.
While sens experience was a major inconvenience, taking every precaution possible may not have been convenient either. Unfortunately, explaining to a sb/gf why discretion is so valued could make her feel like the uniforms seem to have in the above scenario; one ounce of prevention to save such a distress from happening is a pound of cure in avoiding potential after effects.

Id rather not. Just suffice to say I'll help my "friends " in Lenexa PD by saying avoid them all. I chatted up one of the officers that was obviously embarrassed by it all. He said they regularly patrol all the parking lots scanning license plates and looking for aigns of illegal activity. Inly confirmedwhat i already knew. I just underestimated how hypersensitive they were

Absolutely. I kicked myself in the ass for weeks after. I underestimated the extent to which they were willing to go to "deal with the problems in their city". I laughed when the talkative cop told me how they had "such a problem with prostitution in lenexa". Im like "Really? Never knew" all the while thinking their concept of a problem was mere existence

LOL- lot of municipalities in JOCO have the same solution in search of a problem. That's what you get when you have the tax base to support a substantial police force, the political support from the taxpayers to spend the money on it..... and no real actual street-level crime to fight with it.

Yes. And I was upset about it all. I have a good friend who does a lot of defense stuff in the area. I asked him about it. He basically said in Lenexa, the local judge isn't going to side with you regardless. So if something did come out of it, you'd lose in local court and have to file in Federal court for a violation of your civil rights as it relates to unwarranted search and seizure. Needless to say, expensive. From now on, I won't spend a dime in Lenexa again. Not one dime.

I'm sorry. Did I step into the twilight zone here?
What in the hell did I just read? The police came and wigged out and demanded to search your shit because some hotel clerk had a suspicion you were participating in a sex for money transaction? SO WHAT!
I WISH THE HELL THEY WOULD.
Some of you in this community should exercise your right to use your balls for more non-hobby related situations.

It costs time and money to fight it in court.

Really, why would we use our balls just to prove something? Look at the posting above yours!

You don't get it. You seem to want to pick a fight with the police and courts. Right or wrong, they are in charge!
Fade away into the background. Never ever argue with the police, one doesn't need the trouble it causes. Learn to always say: "Yes, Sir" and "No, Sir" to the police. You may not agree with what I say here, but do it.
With your lack of understanding, get the hell out of Johnson County before sundown because you probably won't blend in. If your dress, speech, or body language yells out that you are a whore expect to spend some time in jail and some money for an attorney and court fines before you have a chance to spend another $10,000 to $20,000 for your chance to have your attorney talk to a federal judge.
Now then, is it worth it to you to prove that you are right by being angry about the situation? Wouldn't you rather be happy and move on to someplace else?

You just read a perfect example of why guys are avoiding you in JOCO like you were fucking radioactive.
Use some sense and pay attention to locals who know the lay of the land.

Thank You! Well said!
You paid the hotel and they got zero proof.....politely tell them NO and shut the door.
If they push their way in...ya got yourself a possible lawsuit
