San Antonio has many hotels, several "best or better" areas in which to hobby.

Plus frequent social events. Austin, too.

Let me know of any interest, especially in SA hotels as there are deals, and "deals!"

Flights into and out of San Antonio are not always well-priced since is a primo vacay destination. Options to work around that include Austin (75 miles from the airport to SA) and sometimes even the "super bus" opportunities.

Try sites like airfarewatchdog.com and lastminutetravel.com and cheaptickets.com
even though some of the above might be more costly at times than travelocity, expedia, priceline.com, etc. etc.

I have heard mixed reviews of www.google.com/flights and haven't tried it out much as yet.

Always best if you can give the folks in your destination city enough time to establish a higher than last minute level of interest. And, especially in cities like SA and Austin, check the pricing structure to make sure you'll fit it.

Cannot hurt, either, to plan a short "marketing trip" into certain cities, which I think also include most in Texas.
