Bare with me now, as I am still a newbie in the hobby........
Ok I keep seeing were providers seem to change their names quite often. Reviews from different names, aka....different names, ect. Now I do understand why the BP girls tend to do this as they dont have a lot to lose. But WHY would a Verified Provider choose to change her name, thus loosing past clients and reputation of service, as well as her ADs and web page..................

During MY 5 years of escorting I have changed my name three times. First I was Claire J when I started on CL, about a year after that I wanted to make a new image for myself to attract more upscale gentleman so I changed my name to match my makeover. In 09-10 I went on a hiatus while in a relationship, after that ended I started being an escort again, but changed my name again because my ex knew my last stage name.

But yes- changing a name can loose you clients if they are not notified ahead of time, while in DC I am still getting calls from guys who've seen me as Claire like 4 years ago but lost touch with after I changed my name. It's been quite a nice surprise to reunite with these people and talk about the 'old days'.

Sometimes ladies change their name to avoid someone. An ex-SO, a stalker, etc. Sometimes a family member gets wind of a name and the lady tries to remove all trace before they can link it to her.

There can be many reasons, some legitimate, some not. One lady uses several different names for each site she advertises on, and that way knows where guys found her, and which ads are worth her money.

Thanks, For the answers. I keep seeing the trend on some, as others seem to have the same handle for years. Didnt see how a name change hide you if your the same girl/same pictures, but can more understand the need now........Thanks!

i can see the backpage users and stuff. got to make the computer programs searching for them work a little bit harder. im sure u run into situations where u find out someone knows u so you change to not be easily discovered.

Providers also change their handles if real life starts to get too close to the hobby.

Some providers change their names to become the new girl, or flavor of the month, if business under the old name slowed substantially.

Another reason is mentioned in your OP, reputation of service. If they have a bad rep they will attempt a new start.

If providers change their name it makes me wonder what kind of reputation they had. In my local areas some girls change their names a lot because of bad service, etc. But the men usually find out anyways. Using fake pictures and fake names as well is another way they try to get business if they have a crappy reputation. I don't and never will understand ladies who do that. If you do not enjoy what you do and don't strive for a good, solid reputation as a reputable provider, you can go work for minimum wage instead of the fees girls charge. It's not fair to the men, and the ladies who do things like that are not being fair to themselves either.

I've been with two ladies that I know of that have changed their handles. Both ladies said it was due to being stalked. I would tend to take a lady at her word unless proven otherwise.

There are ladies that have multiple identities and admit it. If I understand their positions, one ID is a medium or so priced lady, while the other ID is more of a HDH. Same lady, different prices.

There is one lady that frequents this board that has changed her screen name. I don't know why. You'd have to ask her.

I think there's a rule out there somewhere about multiple IDs on ECCIE.

Makes sense. Seven years ago I changed my name from Leilani to Ava but it had nothing to do with bad reviews or anything. I just got tired of people mispronouncing Leilani, which is the Hawaiian version of my real first name. And then I saw the movie Barefoot Contessa with the late great Ava Gardner and really liked her name and her looks.

Thanks for the answers, I wasent thinking about stalkers and family issues. It just struck me funny that if you had a good thing going, and a good rep, why would you walk away from it......but then again, if your didnt have that going on.........

I want to change my name just so I can have a "name" (sniff sniff).
I didn't put much thought into it when I signed up as I didn't know the importance of it at the time.

I thought of another reason, a reason so obvious that I am shocked no one thought of it ... Maybe the hooktard bought some new bad ass monogrammed towels and the initials did not match hers.

SNL is fitting name for you. No one else can rock the SNL title. Own it and love it.
