Williams acted like a gorilla .... I felt sorry for the Japanese girl. She was robbed of a well deserved win by the ghetto act of Serena. African Americans are brats they want everything free including tennis trophies

And she is one of the best female tennis players even today. 23 major singles titles, 14 doubles titles, and 2 mixed doubles titles. A record in the Open Era. She remains the one singular player that other women players do not want to face.
She has more Grand Slams than any male player and has been dominating the Tennis scene for 20 years. She's definitely the G.O.A.T.

Does any of this excuse her behavior or actions? I would not want any youth to idolize someone like her!

Does anyone remember John McEnroe? Compared to John, Serena, and just about any other tennis player, is a saint. Yet how many people idolized him? I have absolutely no idea what Serena's political position is but whether she is liberal, conservative, or something else, she is an athlete who had an emotionally tough day. Her actions were not representative of her whole career.

BTW, Serena Williams is a Jehovah's Witnesses and takes a neutral stand when it comes to politics.

Second BTW -- there's more than a slight negative racial tinge to many posts.

Y’all need to cool it...if I see one more derogatory racial post here, I’m going to lock it and issue all the points...

it is a caricature. go to an amusement park and get one done of urself. everything is exaggerated it is a caricature not a photograph.

she is fat. that has nothing to do with race. if a caricature was done of u or anyone else ears eyes nose lips hair freckles would be exaggerated thats what makes it a caricature. lets just make that illegal too wtf

while not representative or her entire career she has had many of these moments.

as for the point / game penalty the referee was right. we all get mad at the nfl refs with the targeting calls and possesion calls. many times the refs are properly enforcing stupid rules. they are to enforce not decide if rules are good. serenas coach admitted he was coaching. again it is a stupid rule. change the stupid rule dont get mad at umpire / ref for doing his job properly

What does that have to do with anything?

Also, Serena’s tantrum had NOTHING to do with her race. And in all the photos Ive seen, Osaka was not robbed of anything. She got the win. She got the trophy and she got the purse.

I don't disagree with you. Serena violated the rules and was punished for it. Whether those punishments fit the "crime", I don't know. Some people agree with the umpire and some say he over-reacted.

And she’s been maligned for having the audacity to absolutely smoke Williams. Williams complained the umpire was being sexist. She wasn’t playing Bobby Riggs. It’s a damn shame the tennis and media elite has jumped on Osaka.

the posters implication was serena got screwed over in favor of a Japenese woman where in fact that woman is african american as well. just like bi racial athletes are always catorigized as african american when in fact they are as much anglo american as african american

some very astute observations. if anyone was treated in an unfair manner here it was osaka.

serena is more than likely the greatest women's player of all time [goat]. very few people are the same physically at 38 as they are at 18.

most women who give birth not only gain weight but are not able to compete at a world class level of tennis as sarena does. I find it more remarkable and inspiring that a fat woman can play at such a high at that age. In fact it boggles the mind to think the tennis she might show a year from now with some of that mommy fat gone.\

When we review a provider who has a mommy belly or stretch marks whether she is 20 or 50 whether she is black white hispanic or asian should we just gloss over the fact or should we report honestly so people know what they are getting.

Should the cartoonist draw his caricature with a 120 lb Serena to avoid controvery. When was the last time u saw Winston Churchill depicted as 150 lbs or Adolph Hitler as 6 foot 4". For christ sakes it is a caricature

Now the USTA is defending her behavior by blaming the chair umpire.

Serena LIED....she said she would NEVER CHEAT!!!

Her coach said he was coaching from the stands and USTA stands withe THE LIAR!!!
