This is an excellent thread!!
I always want to try and give a gesture that showes apriciation and respect, with out coming off needy.
I will often follow up a visit, on my way out, with a texts conveying how much fun I had or just a little playful banter.

As far as gifts go...
Giving flowers is often awkward to carry in through a hotel lobby.. I like to keep my entry as low key as possible..
I have given ladies several different tokens of apriciation. Jessica mentioned the gift of a greeting card. That always seems to put a smile on the ladies face.
Hallmark should really come out with a line of cards!! LOL!!
If I have seen a lady befor, I will give something the lady expressed interest in from our last conversation. For example, I met this lady who loved to dance but her young daughter had hearing problems.. When I was out and about a week or so later I saw a Blue tooth speaker with colored LED lights that changed with the beat of the music. It was not expensive, so I bought it and just tucked it away.. I gave it to her on our next date. She was over the moon excited! Not only was our time together amazing!! But she sent me the nicest thank you notes.

I just try to show our lady friends they are appreciated, respected, and most importantly, heard. I don't feel like it's about an expensive gift. For me it's more a gesture of "I see you, hear you and think of you fondly, and I appreciate you."

My concern is that giving gifts can be perceived, by the ladies, as the fellas wanting to take there arrangements to a "different level"..
The other side to the coin is, if the Guy gives a gift, the escort owes him special treatment, special service, extra time or another form of reciprocation..

My advice (and take it for what you paid for it) for the fellas is give a gift, foe the act of giving. Nothing more..

I'd love to hear what ladies think regarding gifts.

Knowing that a gentleman has READ my showcase because he mentions something or asks a question that I know he only learned by reading it. An offer to lotion my body because I've just showered and have incredibly dry skin. Buying a toy or lingerie that I won't spend money on for myself. Gift cards to my favorite store or restaurant that came up in conversation.

Like Bulldog said, being heard and made to feel HUMAN.

A personalized gift can be so awesome!

I have a gent who made a very expensive homemade wooden rocking horse for my grandkid when he was 2....he is now 6 and still has it and will ride it once in awhile..Now that is a very sweet gift!

I also got ,from same gent,, a stand with a peice of glass etched with the words HARLEY DEE....when you put a candle behind it,it shows up! I have it on my dresser at home.......................... ....And I have some skull flip-flops from a special gent in Texas that I wear almost every day!

But I have gotten some really cool gifts that were personalized according to my "wish list on showcase" and I made sure my thankfulness for the gift was shown during the date...wink/wink!!!

Now don't mistake my words...gifts are NEVER expected..but are WELL rewarded!!!

Great comments! I'm glad we've stuck to mostly positive likes and not just focused on the pet peeves.

I love reading showcases where you can tell a lady has taken the time to fill in details of her persona. I pay close attention to etiquette sections, likes/dislikes in hopes of making the date as enjoyable for both of us. Respect, listening, focusing on your partner are key. I try to come in with an open mind, ready to have fun, and expect the best from everyone.

If I'm meeting early, around lunch or dinner I offer to pick up food or drink. I've met some incredible women here. Thank you for the great feedback.

A soda from QT, a rose, bottle of wine. It does not have to be expensive or extravagant.
