RETOUCHING & EDITING PHOTOS?
Okay so a question for everyone-
Ladies- Do you photoshop or edit your photos? Why or why not?
Gentlemen- Do you like, not like, care or even notice when photos are retouched?
I've never had any of my photos retouched, but everytime I have a photoshoot, the photographer always tries or wants to touch up my pics after, and they all find it odd when I refuse everytime. I figure thats just false advertising! Plus you can usually tell, or I can. But would love to hear my peers opinions on this?

It depends...
If you are retouching to hide a distinctive tattoo that expose your identity, but otherwise disclose you have some ink then I don't have a problem with it. If you slim up, firm up, or add onto the image for the purposes of improving your looks then that can be perceived as false advertising. Likewise, removing too many age spots, wrinkles, or similar marks of wisdom has led to backlash on more than one occasion in my memory.

Yes, I always edit my face out of all my photos. I can see where it would be like false advertising. Also a natural look of picture is the wee best!

I take out tattoos.. they would give away my identity easily. I only have a few, but the location and what they are would be dead giveaways.

Editing photos to protect your identity is acceptable. While I like seeing a persons face, it is understandable that a providers security outweighs that desire. Any other editing is inappropriate. The photos are already framed to show your best features.

Well whomp whomp. I have mine edited. And has anyone ever noticed ? Nope but that's because they were edited great!!
I have my lighting editing, although I use professional photographers they don't always have the right light and it comes out weird so they fix it.
I have blemishes removed (any pimple or bug bit or scratch). This is because, these things heal and my clients won't see them when they come see me after the pictures are taken but they are forever in the picture if I don't have them removed.
I think editing should be minor, agreed.

Agree. I just want the pics to be close to CURRENT looks of body. I am not a lover of tats, so if you have a lot of them state it (typically is says a few tats when there are a lot). I have seen a couple of girls in the last 6 months that were not even close to their pics, one could have been a different person.
So I understand the security issues, maybe we need an area to be able to see pics only members can see.
Remember us guys are visual.

Yes I totally agree with all that was said-
I totally understand those who hide faces, thats understandable! Not everyone is comfortable or proud with what they do, or just want to keep their hobby world very seperate, everyones different but that I get, completely understandable!
And no not fixing lighting or anything, I ment those who actually change their appearance! Also I notice tons of girls have that fog, or smokey look on their pics too....that I dont get?
As for old pictures, I see alot of "top" providers and porn stars have had the same pictures for 1-2 years, thats just as bad lol!
Good to hear others thoughts...its just everytime I do a photoshoot the retouching after alsways gets pushed, I understand Im not actually perfect, but Im very comfortable with my looks, plus felt like that was cheating! Glad to see Im thinking the same, I agree with whats been said so far..

You're perfect, Candi! Your pictures are nicely done and you offer selfies too with your own camera as well as the professional ones that show your being genuine in how you show yourself. Nicely done!

+1
Sometimes certain lighting shows pores and shiny spots, little softening of the skin is how I fix that. I edit my tattoos out as well because they are very distinctive. Changing your appearance overall isn't ok with me either. That's my two cents....
Also candi what smoky feature are u talking about I'm trying to envision it..PM me a link so I can see what ur talking about.

I never had professional pictures..and I am sure it shows LOL But I have chosen to do that because, somehow the unprofessionalism of the pics seem to keep them unquestioned. However, I am considering having some professional ones done now that I have had my boobs redone....Had a not so great job for many years before, and now they are so real and perfect : ) so I want to get real sexy pics done with all the extras! But I never take out face or tattoos, I love my job and everyone I know knows what I do. So...new pics within the month or so.

I do not and have not ever edited my pics. Except my face obviously. I did post a face pic in my most recent ad though....a bit of a different story considering I grew up in Amarillo and have only lived in San Antonio 8 months. I think to each their own but, I personally feel that (as it has been stated) it is false advertising.
I am guilty of leaving older pics up though. Only reason is because I still look exactly the same as I did 5+ years ago.
For my personal eye candy I enjoy all of the ladies photos. Edited or not. I catch myself losing time and getting caught up admiring the great showcases on the board.

Thanks yall (:
Just wanted everyones opinions...yes Ive once seen my pics after skin softening, it looked nice! But in truth my skins not perfect, so I felt like it'd be fake. Or was'nt sure. Those who know me know I take my "career" serious (maybe too seriously) and in years of having doing this I know that some Gentlemen will complain about anything sometimes! So in essense, I can say also I have always been afraid somebody would "check" me on it!
And thank you Netx9, as much as I hate cameras I definitely like to have tons so clients can feel more confident (Ive noticed having ALL pro pics can often cut business down, people assuming its TGTBT)
Leo Im abut to hit the road again today driving, but I'll find a pic and send you later, you'll see what Im talking about!
AND P.S. EMBER- Always been a fan of your photos, and whoever does your pics does an amazing job because not only are you smoking hot, I have never noticed if even a scratch was edited! Your pics look perfect, but still completely real! Very high quality, I like!

+1 Bailey
Im not against older pictures (I think all of us ladies have an older pic that was just so good you gotta keep using, I know I do!) Also when you appearance has'nt changed, or when your mixing new ones in as well. I was more referring to some girls Ive seen who have had the same set of professional pics up for years, never adding anything new at all.
And LOL +1 again on getting lost looking at all the hot showcases, plenty in SA!

Cashmere I agree also!
I have noticed very much so, that sometimes professional pics very well WILL cut down business in some sense.
AND CONGRATS ON GETTING THE TA-TA'S REDONE DONE, I'LL BE LOOKING FOR YOUR NEW PICS, I SUGGEST LEO AS PHOTOGRAPHER!
